alek grew up in a very very religious family consisting of his borderline abusive father and ignorant mother so they shoved every repsonsibility and expectations onto alek and uh. very strict on him (have to get straight As and stuff) alek is smart but hes so insanely rebellious so he uskally just gets a beating but when he grew up be started to argue with his dad instead after one particular agrument his dad just pulled a funny and threw him into the wilderness camp where he just suffered. was rlly angry and agressive but he got rlly close with finn and they just bonded over their shitty life i guess then he got beat up while trying to defend himself and finnegan in the camp and they broke his nose and beat the shit out of him, he almost died because of it. alek was so angry and shaken by all of this that he just started putting on a facade to pretend everythings fine and shoved finnegan away before they left the camp,which they lost contact afterwards

after that uhh alek came back to his house, packed up his stuff and left ran away, got himself a job while trying to continue his studies and tried to move on from all of that. starting a new life and meeting his boyfriend max. thats when he met finn again and alek was suddenly overhwlemed by the reminder of his trauma and uh lost it. tried to drag finegan out from there to help him but hes also very irraional when that happened and then causing finnegan to get stabbed and he thinks all of this is his fault but he also couldnt break the facade of being a normal guy who moved on!! yeah
